This Week in World of Warcraft
January 6th, 2010 Posted 1:02 pm
The holidays are gone. I was gone for most of them so I felt like I was playing a bit of catch up when I got back into it. My hunter has a fair good number of gear upgrades. I could afford to upgrade my chest piece to T9 from T8, but, I haven’t felt rushed about it. I’m nearly there, so it’s only a matter of time. I’m still trying to get the Orca Harpoon from Heroic Halls of Reflection. I’m starting to believe I can get a better weapon from raiding at this point before I get that drop. Autoshotmoo has also found 93% of the Inscriptions in the game. I’m hoping to make that 100% in time for Cataclysm. Bit by bit, I have been delving into my Exploration achievement and I almost have this one complete.
I started tanking again after a long break since May 2009. Even in just my T7, it feels like a different game. Sometimes, I still mess up, but, considering we made it through Regular Halls of Reflection on my level 200 gear…I think it’s not so bad after all. I got off my butt and did some Jewelcrafting dailies. I know everything will be replaced in Cataclysm, but, gathering patterns gives me a sense of satisfaction.
Before January is over, I also want to get my mage one piece of T9. I realize that stuff falls from the sky these days; this in no way means I’m not going to enjoy it. Tyrolos also gave me some enchanting supplies. I’m hoping to get some sweet points of Tailoring and make my Epic Flying Carpet along the way.
Finally, I have the leveling bug. It was on my Resolution list to level Mewmoo to 80 before Cataclysm. I’m at 75, so, if I delve into it every chance I get…well, I think it will definitely happen.

The Crusades
August 7th, 2009 Posted 9:39 am
With the World of Warcraft patch, I spent some time working on the last of my Crusader title. I grew really lazy for a while and had no interest in it. Now that they seem to have made Champions Seals require less jousting and more varied quests, I’m intrigued in moving forward with finishing it off on my Alliance warrior, Dandiemoo. If I do the quests the next three days, I will have finished that up. Just in time to do it again on some other poor unsuspecting character, I suppose. In the meantime, Autoshotmoo has slowly been making her way to level 71. Very slowly. I’m just now learning to play my hunter. The end game gives far more opportunities to learn the ins and outs than the climb does. Misdirection for instances and raiding is very fun. I might try to stick with this one!

Patch Day
August 4th, 2009 Posted 2:25 pm
Today is patch day on World of Warcraft. I had thought that I wasn’t that excited, but, I read all the changes and I found myself longing to play. In fact, not much changes for me right away, except my epic riding mount will be 50 gold and not 10000000. I am exaggerating just a little bit. Still, it looks like it will be fun to play with all the little surprises: new pets, new mounts and new ways to die in a fire. It’s always a good time here on Patch 3.2. Autoshotmoo is almost 70 and then I will be taking my first Horde trip through Northrend. My only sadness is that Dandiemoo did not finish getting her Crusader title before the patch. Only a couple days to go and that will be shored up as well.

Good Reputation?
August 3rd, 2009 Posted 9:39 am
I did not blog much this weekend due to being sick from Friday to Sunday night. I now have a lot to get done that I did not through the days I was not feeling well. I did have time to play some World of Warcraft and it was gooood. I finished up my Shat’ari Skyguard Reputation and bought my Nether Rays and the little nether ray pet that you can get from them as well as a tabard! I also got Exalted with Ironforge in the Argent Crusade as well so I was able to add another mount to Dandiemoo’s collection. She is at 62/100 of the 100 mount achievement. Every time she brings out a mount it’s never the same! It’s odd what compels someone to play a game and stick with something like that. I admit I am not an achievement master by any means, but, I have gathered a significant amount since they were introduced. I enjoy getting a gold star for things I do on games. I’ve played games through to the end on the Xbox that I never would have otherwise just for the little points they give. It’s not so much a bragging right as the ability to look back and see what I’ve accomplished as well as a quantifiable way of seeing all the cool stuff I have done. It’s also a neat way to come up with things to do when you’re not sure what to do next. Oh look, I can quest in Eastern Kingdoms or oh let me run Black Fathom Depths. Also, every player seems to have a different focus and that’s really cool. Also, it’s a lot of fun to be able to see your guild gain something (even if it is as simple as all the blank slots) and to congratulate them. Moral of this story: meaningless points = awesome. I forgot to mention that my Horde Blood Elf Hunter hit 69 yesterday. This is definitely way further than I have ever delved into the lore of the Horde and it’s been great! It’s like looking into a mirror and being able to see the other side. I am hoping I can hit 70 soon so I can get to the Howling Fjord.

And I Hit 1000…
July 29th, 2009 Posted 10:15 am
Yesterday, I hit 1,000 daily quests on my warrior, Dandiemoo. Now, you can do 25 quests a day in World of Warcraft so this isn’t so super impressive as to make anyone faint. However, I love my achievement points and I was pretty proud to stick to something like daily quests 1,000 times. Fortunately, this is awesome. Unfortunately, I have a lot of daily quests to go before I finish my Skyguard/Ogrila/Sporeggar/Netherwing rep. Just think, if Blizzard had never given me gold stars for these things, I’d never do them. Damn you achievement points!

Weekend Update
July 27th, 2009 Posted 10:40 am
I did not get to blog at all this weekend. It was a pretty busy weekend all in all. There was lots of things to be done in the house and that sort of chaos as well as my mother-in-law’s birthday. We went and saw G-Force which was totally AWESOME. It was really cool and I really enjoyed it. The 3D was really impressive on it and the story was crazy but in a way where you could totally accept it probably due to the 3D SPECIAL EFFECTS. Also this weekend, I played a significant amount of World of Warcraft. I was able to get Argent Exalted with Darnassus which scored me this fat new kitty mount. I took AutoshotMoo from level 65 to level 67. And from my count, I am 4 days worth of quests away from exalted with the Shat’ari Skyguard which means weird nether ray mounts of wobbliness + 100. I worked out pretty hard this morning and from it I feel like I have the worst headache in the world – which is sort of odd. I’m not sure why this is but hopefully my food will settle and I will not feel the building migraine.

Hump Day!
July 22nd, 2009 Posted 10:34 am
Happy Hump Day everyone! It is Wednesday so it means we’re on the down side of this perilous hill called the work week. Last night, I did not accomplish as much as I hoped. I was pretty tired after futzing around all day and working. Here’s to hoping I can function a little more efficiently today. I am reading a friend’s book and offering constructive criticism. For some reason, I really enjoy this opportunity so that has been keeping me busy. I feel like it has helped me get my attention span back a little from last week’s OMGWTFBBQ of attention stealing delight.

Like a Kid in a Candy Store
July 21st, 2009 Posted 11:08 am
The Abbey plot on AstralMUX has me super excited which is good because I have to get war plots together today. I wish I could have continued tonight but it will resume on Thursday. I have a lot of other plots to get together so this will give me time to do so and also fit in some Overlord. Today is bound to be exciting fun, so far, work is really quiet. I need to focus on some RMA returns. It’s the little things you can get caught up with when the phones are quiet.

Good Morning!
July 20th, 2009 Posted 9:34 am
Yes, yes it is Monday morning and we’re trying our best here to put our best foot forward and make it good. Last night, I was able to roleplay on AstralMUX as Artemis Chast. She is the sister of the PC hero, Fenix Chast. He is a monk who likes women, drink and food. His sister is a little more no-nonsense, a little more sassy and the Steward of the Nazarov Castle. Everybody needs a little sass in their roleplay I think. Today, I need to brush up on my AstralMUX plot so I can be ready to go for tonight. Before I do that, I need to get prepared to select the missions for Firan’s second war tour. Sadly, I think I could just play Overlord all day. NO REST FOR THE WEARY.

Potter, THE RECKONING
July 19th, 2009 Posted 1:14 pm
I saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince last night. I have to say that I’m luke warm to the movie; this may get me killed but it didn’t grab me the same way Goblet of Fire did. It was good and I enjoyed it but I just didn’t enjoy it the same. I felt like it was really a part of the next movie and the end left me unsatisfied. However, I did enjoy Draco Malfoy’s performance in this movie more than any other. So there you go! I spent most of yesterday running Word of Warcraft dailies before the movie. I’m working on them again with the hopes that I will someday finish some reputation grinds and never have to look at them again. Boo Netherwing as well. BOO.
