I Always Feel Like Somebody’s Watching Me

Not really, but, I thought it was an amusing title.  Tonight, I got our webcam working and I joined 2010 so I could use it to talk to family over Skype.  I was really worried it would be a pain to setup.  Plug and play peripherals like to be plug and spend hours figuring it out.  However, we got a little HP webcam and it was really easy to work with and I didn’t have any problems getting it working out of the box.  It was actually harder to figure out how to get it to stay on my monitor properly than it was to set it up.  It’s amazing what you can do these days and it seems so easy!  In my time, you had to take a picture, wait for it to develop for three weeks and then mail it.  KIDS THESE DAYS.

So Busy – Thoughts for Today

I wanted to write a big long post about why I had not wrote in a while and the neat gaming I have been up to.  Today is too busy, though.  Instead, I’ll leave you with this thought after I read Rage of Angels:

Books have taught me that having an affair with a senator, breaking up, having his baby, and having an affair with a crime boss is a terrible idea.

Thank goodness!  I might have accidentally done this.  It’s wrought with difficulty!

Testing My New Twitter Feed

I’m just making a really useless post to test my Twitter Feed for my blog. Hopefully this one will look more keen or something. HOPEFULLY YOU ENJOYED THIS USELESS POST.

My Tea Kettle

One might question what my tea kettle has to do with gaming.  And I’ll admit, not very much.  The only way I can make this one relevant at all is because it happened in the hour before raiding in which I wanted the tea.  I have never really had a real tea kettle.  Most days, I get by with nuking the water.  My parents gave me a real whistling kettle for Christmas so I thought I’d try it out.  I did everything right and reading the instructions it told me that a gas stove should be on low to medium.  So, of course, I find a happy medium and put the water on to boil.

10 minutes later, I explain to the guild that I’m waiting on this water to boil and I think it’s taking a long time.  Ten minutes after that, Enkida points out that she hopes my water is still not waiting to boil.

The moral of this story is that water takes 212 degrees to boil (says Tyrolos) and it won’t get there on low heat.

That tea was pretty yummy, though!
